A sad announcement about LBC2

After much effort and a great deal of soul wrenching, we have come to the sad and difficult conclusion that we are not going to be able to continue the magic that is the LBC2 Programme.

We know we speak for all the faculty when we say that being part of this for so many years has been a highlight of our professional lives. We are so enormously grateful to Paul Gilbert for its creation and nurture and to every delegate who has trusted him and us with their time, talents, energy and challenges, and with all of that their vulnerability, over the years. We are also very grateful to Osborne Clarke, Marsden, Epigram and the Lawyer who gave us their support. We are just so very sorry that we have not been able to make it work.

It turns out that Paul really was the key to making it all happen; while we had hoped to continue what he had created, his shoes are just too big – who knew?

LBC2 Programme

Empowering effective and responsible legal leadership

Part 1: 19 – 20 March 2026

Part 2: 23 – 24 April 2026

The LBC2 programme is a development initiative designed to empower senior in-house lawyers to deliver greater value for business owners and executive management.

Through a blend of learning and one-on-one mentoring, LBC2 equips legal leaders to improve risk management, strengthen corporate governance, and uphold ethical standards – key factors that support financial health and strategic objectives. At the same time the programme is one of personal development, helping delegates to understand their personal values and worth, and to build a sustainable and rewarding career.

Through LBC2, legal leaders will become more proactive partners in value creation, helping drive strategic growth while managing regulatory, reputational, commercial and operational risks. This investment in development translates to a more resilient, aligned, and efficient approach to risk management and governance – ultimately strengthening the bottom line.
